DHEERAN CHINNAMALAI MEMORIAL DAY


Dheeran Chinnamalai ( April 17 , 1756 - July 31 , 1805 ) was an Indian freedom fighter. He was one of those who fought against the British East India Company rule in Tamil Nadu along with the Black Army . He was the ruler who built the fort of flight in the Kongu country .

HISTORY

He lived in present-day Tirupur District , Kangayam Circle, near Chennimalai . He was born on April 17, 1756 in Melapalayam. [1] His father is Ratnasami Counter ( Bhairan Kootam ), and mother Periyatha (Othalan Kootam). His original name was Tirtagiri Counter . He is said to be the legacy of the old fort master. As a result, he earned the name Tirtagiri Sugar in his youth.
